Quantified relationship between reflectance, numbers of spores in air and disease severity

This deliverable reports on the possibilities to quantify the relationship between the reflectance, number of spores in air with disease severity

Integration of NGS and BioTrove platform data for multipathogen monitoring

The two platforms supplement each other as the NGS based platform is a generic non- quantitative method and will detect all fungal species both unknown and known whereas the real-time PCR based platform specifically detect pathogens and provides quantitative data.

Evaluation of the realized performance and proof of concept of the 5 technologies developed

Synthesis of five new technologies developed in each task of “Emerging technologies” activity:

1. To do airborne sampling and optical sensing methods for macro scale mapping (Task 1);

2. To do molecular based diagnostic tools for micro scale identification and monitoring (Task 2);

3. To develop new generation of generic decision engine for weed control (Task 3);

4. To do mating disruption solutions for pest control in protected vegetables and grapevine (Task 4);

5. To work on precise crop protection products application based on canopy density sensing (Task 5).
