Development of resistance to biocontrol agents is now a major concern for the sustainability of pest control methods in agriculture. Codling moth (Cydia pomonella) has developed resistance towards Cydia pomonella granulovirus (CpGV) in several European countries. This raises the question of the sustainability of this control method. The purpose of this study was to develop, thanks to this model pest, a pragmatic solution in order to preserve the biological control option and make it more sustainable.
