ACTA federates agricultural institutes dealing with various production sectors. Managed by farmers, they constitute an interface between farmer needs and agricultural research and provide end-users with a technical support to continuously adapt agricultural systems and practices to new requirements. ACTA meets the requirements of different stakeholders, by creating and transferring technical and socio-economical references. The different institutes involved in IPM are: ACTA Tech (non intentional effects of agricultural practices, modelling for plant protection, dissemination of research results); ACTA Informatique (NTIC and agriculture); ARVALIS-Institut du Végétal (cereals and maize crops); CETIOM (oil-seed crops) and IFV (vineyards). ACTA has a great experience of agricultural research (pests and weeds biology knowledge, modelling and DSS, alternative methods, environmental and human health assessment and indicators, pesticide resistance management), end-users communication (books, technical leaflets, website) and training.
