DLO is the market-oriented research organization of Wageningen University and Research Centre. LEI, PRI and PPO are strongly collaborating in national programs on IPM, in joint strategic, applied and implementation research. LEI belongs to the Social Sciences Group and develops economic and social expertise on ex-ante and ex-post assessment of success factors of IPM-programs which can be used by policy makers. PRI as well as PPO belong to the Plant Sciences Group. PRI performs strategic disciplinary research to design modules for IPM, including modelling of spray technologies for weeds and diseases, resistance mechanisms and management, population genetics of pests and diseases, development of molecular diagnostics and semio-chemicals and biological control. PPO performs applied research and focuses on integrating promising new IPM modules into farming systems. Much research is performed as co-innovation with farmers (e.g. Farming with Future) to maximize implementation.
